Course Description / Need Statement
This course helps prepare physicians for American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics certification and maintenance of certification exams in transplant hepatology and pediatric transplant hepatology, led by hepatology and transplant medicine experts. For any liver care provider, this course is a great refresher and comprehensive, up-to-date review of liver transplant patient management.

This course will help prepare physicians for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) certification and maintenance of certification (MOC) exam in transplant hepatology and pediatric transplant hepatology as it reflects the updated ABIM/ABP Transplant Hepatology Certification Exam blueprint. High yield clinical topics will be presented by leaders in the field of hepatology and transplant medicine. Designed for ABIM/ABP Transplant Hepatology exam preparation, the course also provides a comprehensive review of up-to-date management of liver transplant patients.

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AASLD designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.
American Board of Pediatrics Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 9.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC points.
Claiming CME Credits
Physicians and other health care professionals seeking AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for this live continuing medical education activity must complete an evaluation by Tuesday, September 15. The CME evaluation will be available to you upon completion of the on-demand course.
Claiming MOC Points
Physicians seeking ABIM and/or ABP MOC points must complete the electronic CME and MOC evaluation by Tuesday, September 15. Requests for MOC after this date will not be honored. The MOC evaluation is included in the CME evaluation.
MOC Points will be reported to the ABIM and ABP by the end of September 2020 for attendees who successfully complete the MOC evaluation.
